EFILive V7 Software

Follow these steps to obtain the EFILive version 7 version and build information.

  1. Open the EFILive Tune Tool application.
  2. Click on the Help menu and select the About... menu option.
  3. The Version and Build are shown on the Version tab.

Opening and Modifying a Tune File 

EFILive V7.5 Tune Tool

  1. Open the EFILive V7.5 Tune Tool application.
  2. Navigate to the File->Open tuning file menu option, or click the File Open button.
  3. Navigate to the location on your PC where your tune file is saved and select Open.
  4. Navigate to the table(s) you wish to modify by using the navigation window or entering the table number into the Search box.
  1. Navigate to the File menu option and select the Save tuning file, Save tuning file as... or Save tuning file, for AutoCal option.
  2. Name your modified tuning file and select Save.

Software Installation Error: Error 740: The requested operation requires elevation 

Windows 7

Follow these steps to resolve this issue on Windows 7 systems.

Ensure Your User is an Administrator

  1. Click on the Start Menu button.
  2. Type User Accounts into the Search bar.
  3. Select the User Accounts option under the Control Panel section.
  4. Select the Change your account type option.
  5. Ensure that Administrator is selected.
  6. If necessary change from Standard user to Administrator and press the Change Account Type button.

Disable User Account Control (UAC)

  1. Click on the Start Menu button.
  2. Type UAC into the Search bar.
  3. Select the Change User Account Control settings option under the Control Panel section.
  4. Drag the slider do to the Never notify position.
  5. Click the OK button.

Note: After making the above changes it is necessary to reboot your computer.  Following the reboot it should be possible to now load the EFILive software.

Windows Vista

Follow these steps to resolve this issue on Windows Vista systems.

Ensure Your User is an Administrator

  1. Click on the Start Menu button.
  2. Select the Control Panel option.
  3. Type User Accounts into the Search bar.
  4. Select the User Accounts option.
  5. Select the Change your account type option.
  6. Ensure that Administrator is selected.
  7. If necessary change from Standard user to Administrator and press the Change Account Type button.

Disable User Account Control (UAC)

  1. Click on the Start Menu button.
  2. Select the Control Panel option.
  3. Type UAC into the Search bar.
  4. Select the Turn User Account Control (UAC) on or off option under the User Accounts section.
  5. Uncheck the Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer checkbox.
  6. Click the OK button.

Note: After making the above changes it is necessary to reboot your computer.  Following the reboot it should be possible to now load the EFILive software.

V7 Flash a Controller 

EFILive V7 Software

  1. Connect FlashScan V1 device to your PC and vehicle.
  2. Turn the vehicle ignition to the On position (not the Accessory position.  Vehicle must not be cranked/running when flashing).
  3. Open the EFILive Tune Tool application.
  4. Click on the File menu and select the Open tuning file... menu option.
  5. Select the calibration file for the controller you wish to license.
  6. Click on the Flash menu and select the Program PCM calibrations... menu option.
  7. Click the Start button.
  8. If the controller is not licensed a information dialogue will be shown.
  9. Click the License ECM button that will have appeared.
  10. Select Yes and OK to the next two prompts to confirm you wish to license the controller.
